Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Withdrawal Management Services program, catering to adults aged 19 and above who require supervised withdrawal management support for their alcohol and/or substance use dependence. This role ensures that policy, procedures, protocols, programs/curriculum, and standards of care align with best practices and safe care delivery principles.

As the licensed site manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Community Care and Assisted Living Act regulations. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical and program supervision, performance coaching, and evaluation of all program employees
  • Leading a diverse staff team comprising Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Withdrawal Management Workers, and Recovery Care Workers
  • Promoting a culture of safety and well-being among program participants

This position plays a vital role in maintaining the day-to-day operations of our service, prioritizing the safety and well-being of those in our care. As a member of our Leadership Team, you will participate in various agency initiatives and community committees.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary of $102,336.60 per year, complemented by an attractive benefits package. Our compensation package includes:

  • A retention bonus of $3,000 after one year and $10,000 after two years, subject to return of service requirements and productive hour targets
  • Relocation assistance and short-term accommodation for those relocating to Kelowna

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A diploma or degree in nursing and registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a registered nurse (RN) or registered psychiatric nurse (RPN)
  • Completion of UBC CPD Addiction Care and Treatment Online Course
  • Five+ years of management, leadership, or supervisory experience
  • Five+ years of experience working in addictions/substance use treatment field
  • Training and experience in providing evidence-based responses to alcohol use disorder, substance use disorder, and concurrent disorder
  • Experience working within or leading facility-based/residential services
