Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chief Financial Operations Manager to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing the financial planning and reporting process, maintaining the organization's budget and database, and ensuring alignment with company strategies and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budget Management: Manage the corporate budget process for the annual budget and monthly and quarterly forecasts. Analyze variances and identify potential risks & opportunities.
  • Business Collaboration: Proactively partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a full understanding of any changes vs budget or strategic estimates.
  • Month End Close Reporting: Champion the monthly close process, process accounting entries, prepare account reconciliations, and ensure consistency between financial accounting and reporting systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and continually improve processes through a consistent and standardized set of financial analysis, models, tools, and performance measurement.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education, Business Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or another related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, using functions such as lookups, pivot tables, filters, sorting.
  • Experience using SAP.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of P&L structure.
  • Proven experience providing financial insights and analysis to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Effective time management and results-oriented and ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
