Key Responsibilities:- Manage laboratory operations, including workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Lead and engage a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and customer service.
- Collaborate with the Director, Pathology Operations and Scientific Directors to develop and implement departmental procedures, policies, and standards.
- Develop and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance and efficiency.
- Monitor quality control programs and processes, review and interpret QC results, and act to correct any potential issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer needs are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
- Responsible for business planning, goal development, and scheduling for the department.
- Bachelor of Science in a healthcare-related field.
- Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist (CMLT) preferred.
- 3-5 years of previous leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in managing diverse teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in planning, preparing, and devising work schedules, as well as managing constraints and competing priorities.
- Strong decision-making ability, with the ability to effectively manage constraints and competing priorities.
