Histology Department Manager

About the Role:
Dynacare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Histology to join our team. As a leader in the laboratory operations, you will be responsible for managing the Histology Department and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory operations and people leadership of the Histology Department
- Collaborate with the Director, Pathology Operations and Scientific Directors to achieve departmental goals
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency
- Manage compliance requirements and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer needs are addressed
- Develop and implement business plans, goals, and schedules for the department
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in a healthcare-related field
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a laboratory setting
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to foster relationships across all levels of the organization
- Experience in planning, preparing, and devising work schedules
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management principles
