Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Retail Operations Supervisor to lead our retail location. This pivotal role encompasses the management of all aspects of a successful retail environment, fostering a culture that prioritizes exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the store manager in daily operations and leadership initiatives.
- Facilitate effective communication and morale within the team, focusing on staff development.
- Prioritize employee retention and career advancement opportunities.
- Conduct interviews, hire, and train new team members.
- Manage onboarding processes and collaborate with human resources.
- Plan, assign, and oversee daily tasks.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage rewards and disciplinary actions.
- Address customer complaints and assess performance issues continuously.
- Oversee timekeeping and payroll functions.
- Assign tasks to the sales team and monitor goal achievement.
- Ensure effective merchandising and inventory management.
- Control shrinkage and manage expenses.
- Maintain high standards across the store.
- Identify pricing discrepancies and communicate with corporate.
- Analyze department and store performance trends.
- Participate in store opening and closing procedures.
- Manage administrative tasks, financial transactions, and shipments.
- Monitor sales performance through data analysis.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Retail Director.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in Fashion or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-end retail management, with expertise in P&L management, staff supervision, scheduling, training, merchandising, inventory control, and payroll.
- Proficient in point-of-sale transactions and customer relationship management.
- Familiarity with UPS systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
- Strong understanding of retail operations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Highly organized and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work varied hours and days as needed.
- Experience in market trend analysis.
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships to drive business growth.
