The Opportunity

As a Senior Solution Advisor in the Intelligent Spend and Business Network (ISBN) team, you will utilize SAP's ISBN technology to amaze customers by realizing their vision and solving complex problems. You will specialize in one or more areas:

  • Customer Engagement: Listen to customers' and prospects' business commerce and spend/supply chain management problems and needs
  • Solution Presentation: Communicate SAP's Ariba and Fieldglass visions for better business commerce and spend/supply chain management via the SAP Business Network
  • Demonstrations: Lead compelling, customized SAP Ariba, Fieldglass, and Business Network product demonstrations
  • RFP Response: Lead our response to functional RFxs and help the team build supporting ROI business cases for prospects and customers
  • Mentorship: Mentor and coach SAP's implementation partners in telling value stories
  • Support: Support demo landscape and enable partner consultants on leveraging demo content

Your Responsibilities

  • Sales Enablement: Articulate and present SAP's ISBN value proposition to C-level executives both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrations: Deliver high-impact software demonstrations to prospective customers demonstrating how SAP applications improve spend management and supply chain performance
  • Customer Needs: Identify specific customer needs through discovery calls and onsite workshops
  • Solution Architecture: Navigate and understand your business partner's legacy IT environment and architect solutions that integrate with this legacy environment
  • Sales Strategy: Lead sales teams conducting opportunity assessments
  • Cycle Reduction: Reduce the length of sales cycles by answering functional questions regarding SAP software and its integration with prospects' overall solution architecture
  • Account Strategy: Work closely with Account Executives to develop and execute on account strategies
  • Proposal Creation: Create powerful visual presentations and winning proposals
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with key buying influences across executive, management, and end-user contacts
  • Tailored Approach: Tailor selling approach to unique needs/concerns of each customer
  • Process Expertise: Display deep knowledge of the customer's processes (e.g., supply chain, procurement, sourcing, accounts payable, and finance)
  • Voice of the Customer: Act as the 'voice of the customer' and sales liaison to Product Management, Product Development, and Product Strategy
  • Whitepapers: Create 'whitepapers' as required in response to competitive situations and needs/concerns of the customer
  • Team Selling: Support the Team selling efforts to drive the sales process efficiently
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities for expanding usage and obtain customer advocacy

About You

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional work experience (preferably presales, sourcing, procurement, AP/Finance, or supply chain industry)
  • Customer-Facing: 3+ years customer-facing or leading project management experience
  • Procurement Knowledge: Extensive knowledge/background in procurement end-to-end business processes
  • SAP Expertise: 5+ years with Ariba, Fieldglass, and/or SAP Business Networks
  • Communication Skills: Superior presentation and written communication skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in technical, supply chain, or business disciplines
  • Additional Skills: Strong sales support skills, customer service skills, and commercial instinct; ability to work well in a collaborative team environment; strong executive presence

Salary Information

The targeted combined annual salary range for this position is $127,000 - $269,100 CAD. Any variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
