Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Counsellor to join our team at Truly Inclusive, a growing counselling service provider and advocacy group based in Western Canada.

Job Title: Neurodivergent Affirming Therapist

About the Role

In this contract position, you will be working under the supervision of our Clinical Director to provide virtual therapy services to individuals, families, and groups. You will also have the opportunity to receive ongoing training in our unique neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed modality.

You will be responsible for providing primarily virtual counselling with some opportunities for local in-person engagement through creating and implementing neurodivergent-affirming practices and behaviour plans that shift the landscape of support for individuals, families, and their care teams.

Responsibilities
  • Providing counselling services to clients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate clinical records
  • Offering support and guidance to neurodivergent individuals, families, and support teams dealing with various mental health issues
  • Developing behaviour plans for neurodivergent individuals including children and youth
  • Conducting training and counselling for support teams, including MCFD group homes, families, behaviour interventionists, schools, online homeschool programs, and more
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or other related field
  • Licensed or certified as a counsellor or therapist, preferably with an RSW or RCC designation
  • Experience and/or interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, families, and their support teams
  • Ability to register in BC, Alberta, the Yukon, and Ontario
  • Updated criminal record check and Canada-wide insurance
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Commitment to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
Compensation

The salary for this role is $100 per hour, which includes full clinical supervision and ongoing training.
