Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Director to lead our Identity and Access Management (IAM) Process and Governance team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining our enterprise-wide IAM Process models, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and aligned with our business goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IAM and process design, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to drive business outcomes. You will be responsible for measuring and monitoring the operational effectiveness of our IAM Processes and supporting audit, regulatory, and third-party requests for evidence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define and maintain enterprise-wide IAM Process Models and supporting material, related to all IAM capabilities.
  2. Ensure processes enable efficiencies and optimizations are maximized while ensuring operational and business feasibility.
  3. Provide subject matter expertise to project teams and LoB in translating the minimum set of requirements into business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, and technical specifications.
  4. Compiles IAM metrics collection from IAM Processes and Procedures to present IAM Governance documentation for senior leadership forums.
  5. Work with business partners and application teams across RBC Enterprise to document IAM related control designs.
  6. Identify and implement solutions to improve the efficiency of IAM processes.
  7. Provide direction in the optimization, efficiency, and capacity planning for the Process & Metrics team.
  8. Participate in and understand the IAM roadmaps for capability delivery. This is foundational to understanding the solution offering and providing guidance to service partners.
Requirements

Must-have

  1. 5-10 years of experience with IAM capabilities and solutions.
  2. Experience with process design and effective metric design.
  3. Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute with minimal direction or oversight in a high-pressure environment with emotional intelligence.
  4. Strong understanding of IAM concepts and solutions designs for efficient security controls.
  5. Cross-functional collaboration and negotiation with internal teams for effective task completion.
  6. Proficient technical experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, etc.) and Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence).
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience presenting to senior management forums.
  8. Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  9. Understanding of Business and Technical Strategies.
  10. Excellent understanding of risk concepts and frameworks.
  11. Builds a High Performance Culture - lead change and continuous renewal while building capabilities of employees and teams.

Nice-to-have

  1. Data analysis and reporting skills.
  2. Professional certification(s) related to information security or information risk management such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP.
  3. Extensive experience in IAM technologies, compute platforms, technology/application support, application portfolio management technologies being delivered at large organizations (preferably financial institutions).
  4. Excellent blend of technology, people management, and business skills.
