Accounts Receivable Agent
The Accounts Receivable Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of West Edmonton Mall's financial systems. This position is responsible for managing the receivable accounts of tenants, performing collections, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile complex tenant accounts and follow up on collection and allocation of payments.
- Review lease requirements and communicate with tenants regarding payment due dates.
- Verify and prepare invoices, bank deposits, and process credit memos.
- Perform detailed and accurate transfers of lease agreement terms to the accounting software system.
- Interpret complex lease language and understand lease calculations, including percentage rent and CPI increases.
- Assist with issue resolutions and process adjustments while reviewing and advising on inconsistencies and invoices.
- Perform various administrative duties, including maintaining filing and record systems.
Desired Qualifications:
- Three to five years of experience in an accounting or accounts receivable role.
- Post-secondary diploma in accounting or a related field is considered an asset.
- Professional attitude and demeanor with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Previous experience working with commercial lease agreements and direct experience performing commercial collections is an asset.
Terms of Employment:
- This is a full-time position available Monday through Friday.
- This position qualifies for our 4-day workweek program.
- This is a salaried position with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
