About the Role:

Smith + Andersen is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Department Manager to join our team in Edmonton, AB. As a key member of our electrical department, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality electrical engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical department in the development of electrical engineering designs and solutions for various projects.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality work.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to identify new opportunities and grow the electrical department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project delivery and excellent client service.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the electrical department remains competitive and innovative.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical project engineering, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work and meeting project deadlines.
