Cleaning Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our facilities maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of cleaning staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and protocols to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
  • Provide training and guidance to cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.

  • Cleaning service company.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations.
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Support for Visible Minorities:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
