Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at 1425169 Ontario Limited. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of children and youth in our care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support and care to children and youth in a group home setting. This will include implementing life skills workshops, assessing client needs, and providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress and needs
  • Assess client needs and eligibility for specific services
  • Implement life skills workshops to promote independence and self-sufficiency
  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services as needed
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers involved with clients
  • Develop and implement service intervention logic models and outcome measures
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and medical exam
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
