Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at 1425169 Ontario Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of children and youth in our care.

Job Summary:

The Child and Youth Worker will work in a group home setting, providing support and guidance to children and youth with complex needs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child welfare principles and practices, as well as experience working with children and youth with behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to children and youth, focusing on life skills development and behavioral management.
  • Assess client needs and develop personalized support plans to promote their well-being and independence.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Implement evidence-based programs and interventions to address behavioral challenges and promote positive outcomes.
  • Document client progress and provide regular updates to supervisors and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or degree in a related field, such as social work, child and youth care, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and youth with complex needs, preferably in a group home setting.
  • Strong understanding of child welfare principles and practices, including trauma-informed care and behavioral management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, youth, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality support to clients.
