Job Title: Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Long Term Care Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team as a Long Term Care Specialist. In this role, you will work in a residential care setting, providing exceptional care to predominantly older residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams in implementing clinical interventions and evaluating resident outcomes.
  • Act as a resource for the team, providing information and coordination of ongoing resident care.
  • Support the work of other healthcare professionals and promote cohesive team work.
  • Enhance the quality of life for residents and their families.

Requirements:

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Completion of an approved gerontology course or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to residents with chronic diseases.
