Job Summary:

Hitachi Energy Canada Inc. is seeking a seasoned Strategic Account Manager to lead the growth of our strategic utility accounts in British Columbia. As a key member of our Utilities Account Management Team, you will be responsible for managing all sales and customer stewardship activities within your assigned accounts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and facilitate relationships with strategic customers at all levels within Hitachi Energy and the customer's organization
  2. Apply business acumen to understand customer business drivers, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  3. Act as a focal point for problem resolution and initiate the Customer Complaint Resolution Process
  4. Monitor and maintain awareness of key Hitachi Energy issues within assigned strategic customers
  5. Create and execute customer strategic account plans, including executive relationship strategy, prioritizing opportunities, closing product gaps, and driving sales growth
  6. Achieve annual budget targets and grow Hitachi Energy market share within strategic accounts
  7. Maintain an accurate sales pipeline for monthly/quarterly forecasting in Salesforce.com
  8. Lead the development of tactical plans to ensure a winning bid, utilizing the Hitachi Energy Capture Team Selling process
  9. Provide regular reports, briefings, and reviews as required using agreed processes

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 4 years of related account management experience
  2. Proven technical background, such as a Business and/or Engineering degree and/or Technician or Technologist diploma
  3. Proven effective communicator and facilitator
  4. Proven track record of target achievement
