We are seeking a skilled Portfolio Management Applications Expert to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Wealth Management Canada (WMC) branch, you will play a critical role in supporting portfolio management applications for small to medium initiatives.

Job Description

In this exciting opportunity, you will partner with IT, Operations, Vendors, and other Head Office groups to assess, research, and analyze problems that impact RBC WMC branches. Your primary objective will be to document business requirements to resolve system, process or business gaps and issues, ensuring an optimal Portfolio Management experience for WMC branches.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing documents for IT applications, system specifications, and test plans, adhering to existing standards and methodologies.
  • Eliciting the requirements needed to carry out business processes through interviews, intelligence analysis, and survey assessments.
  • Translating business needs, processes, and procedures into workable systems and articulating specific software requirements with technology experts and business stakeholders.
  • Working closely with business architects and technology staff to deliver project results while implementing risk analysis and meeting required deliverables.
  • Preparing, analyzing, and prioritizing issues and enhancement requests raised by the field, training, Operations, and project teams.
  • Collaborating with IT QA and IT support teams on issues raised and providing details for Production Support triage.
  • Resolving conflicts and issues of moderate complexity and escalating as necessary.
  • Creating and working with communications to post on DSnet and send national emails or branch notifications.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2+ years of prior securities, technology industry, and/or wealth management-related experience.
  • The ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and simultaneous demands.
  • Problem identification, analytical, and resolution skills to support escalated issue resolution and oversight requirements of complex processes/programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fully proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits, including bonuses and flexible benefits packages.
