About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced news professional to join our dynamic team as an Executive Director, Multilingual News Media. In this role, you will oversee the editorial news strategy for each of our language news teams across all regions, providing leadership on journalistic, ethical, and legal decisions. You will also lead change and innovation in editorial content and news programming, managing a news team including coaching, feedback, and mentoring to help build the next generation of multi-lingual journalists.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the editorial news strategy for each of our language news teams across all regions
  • Provide leadership on journalistic, ethical, and legal decisions
  • Lead change and innovation in editorial content and news programming
  • Manage a news team including coaching, feedback, and mentoring to help build the next generation of multi-lingual journalists

Requirements
  • Deep experience in news, including reporting on issues that resonate with diverse communities
  • Understanding of Canada's diverse language communities that OMNI serves
  • Experience in leading complex and regionally diverse teams
  • Highly effective leader able to rally a diverse group of individuals toward a common goal

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience

This is a full-time position, with a variable shift schedule. The work location is 33 Dundas St. East (909), Toronto, ON, and travel requirements may be up to 25%.
