Job Summary
William Osler Health System is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ultrasound examinations, including clinical assessment, to provide high-quality images for radiologists and vascular surgeons.
- Facilitate optimal patient care by observing and understanding organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the organization's mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Provide accurate and complete preliminary technical impressions, discussing ultrasound findings with physicians when necessary.
- Perform other duties related to the job classification as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology.
- ARDMS (CRGS) certification and RVT (CRVS) required.
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required.
- Sonography Canada membership preferred.
- Proficiency in peripheral arterial doppler, dialysis access evaluation, peripheral venous, and extra cranial carotid duplex.
- Proven skill in producing high-quality ultrasound images.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Physical ability to perform the expected job duties.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives, and establish priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships and provide effective consultation with clinical educators.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation, and Collaboration.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and work record.
- May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites.
