Job Summary

The Distribution Centre Administrator is a key member of our team, responsible for providing administrative support to the Distribution Centre Manager and assisting with various aspects of distribution centre operations.

Key Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls from carriers and branches, provide administrative support to the distribution centre, resolve supplier receiving issues or discrepancies, and schedule incoming freight carrier shipments.

Inventory Management

Check and file packing slips, identify shipping errors, notify purchasing agents or handle supplier shipping errors, prepare freight claims, investigate inventory issues, and assist in DC inventory clean-up.

Other Duties

Order office stationery, coffee supplies, order food/prepare training room for customer functions/seminar training, and assist head office staff with their inquiries.

Requirements

Deliver superior customer service, handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact, follow written instructions and documented procedures, understand basic inventory, warehousing, and stocking procedures, and possess accuracy and attention to detail.
