Job Summary

The Distribution Centre Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all products and sales goals are achieved. This position will also perform warehouse duties and functions to support inventory integrity, order processing, and general maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage product distribution activities to achieve company goals.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices with team members.
  • Implement new distribution strategies to obtain profitability.
  • Analyze existing distribution procedures and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor and manage inventories at the distribution center.
  • Identify and assign workload and schedules to team members.
  • Oversee daily operations of team members and provide assistance whenever needed.
  • Perform basic administration duties and maintain clear and complete accounting records.
  • Provide outstanding customer services and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage storage and handling of inventories in warehouses.
  • Manage carriers to perform distributions in assigned routes.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' warehouse/material handling experience preferred in a wholesale/distribution environment.
  • Experience working with RF scanners and ERP systems.
  • Management and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Energetic and self-motivated.
  • Maintain a business-like manner at all times.
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • This position utilizes both manual and power material handling equipment to perform job functions, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. Employees in this position must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance; the majority of time is spent standing and walking. You must have the ability to climb, bend, squat, reach, grasp, and lift.
  • Must have flexibility in their work schedule as they may be asked to work an occasional Saturday branch open.
