Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Ponoka Hospital and Care Ctr and two additional locations. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will be responsible for performing procedures in both the laboratory and diagnostic imaging departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze biological specimens, conduct X-ray examinations, ECGs, and report results.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, perform venipuncture and micropuncture, and maintain routine equipment.
  • Conduct quality control procedures and maintain supplies as required.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, staff, and inter-disciplinary team members in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with experience in laboratory and diagnostic imaging.
  • Knowledge of Connect Care Epic, Unity Real Time, WellSky, MUSE, and Agfa PACS systems is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Ortho Vitros XT 3400, DxH 600, Clinitek Advantus, Access 2, and ACL Elite Pro instruments.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
