Job Title: Counter / Inside Salesperson

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Counter / Inside Salesperson. In this role, you will provide exceptional sales support to walk-in customers and on the phone, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sales support to customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized counter sales area, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for customers.
  • Assist customers with purchases, researching products and providing recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Drive sales growth through effective merchandising, product promotion, and lead generation.
  • Enter, pick, and pack sales orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inform the purchasing team of low stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Follow up on backorders with vendors, providing customers with accurate delivery dates.
  • Process returns and warranty claims, ensuring compliance with procedures.
  • Navigate and resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset.
  • Experience in customer service or counter sales.
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Ability to learn and operate software systems used to process orders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn material handling equipment operation.
  • Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
