Executive Vice President, Development

Starlight Investments, in partnership with WP Osborne Executive Search, is seeking a seasoned Executive Vice President, Development to lead their construction and development division, Starlight Developments. As a key member of the executive team, this individual will be responsible for driving the company's growth and expansion in the Canadian market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for development projects, aligning with the company's goals and growth objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of development and investment professionals, including project managers, planners, architects, city and government officials, and other key personnel.
  • Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of development projects, including site acquisition, project planning, design, approvals, and final delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors and industry partners.
  • Financial Oversight: Provide oversight and guidance as it relates to the creation of project budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
  • Development Investments Management: Lead and manage the Development Investments team, overseeing the creation and review of financial models for new projects.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with development projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in real estate investment with at least 5 years in a leadership role related to managing Canadian residential development.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and team management.
  • Strategic thinker and creative problem solver with a commitment to excellence.
  • Leader who possesses excellent project management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
