Executive Vice President, Development

Starlight Investments, in partnership with WP Osborne Executive Search, is seeking an experienced Executive Vice President, Development to lead the company's Canadian development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate investment and development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and team management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for development projects, aligning with the company's goals and growth objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of development and investment professionals, including project managers, planners, architects, city and government officials, and other key personnel.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of development projects, including site acquisition, project planning, design, approvals, and final delivery.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors and industry partners.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on project budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations, including zoning laws, building codes, and environmental requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in real estate investment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role related to managing Canadian residential development.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and team management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff nationally.
  • Deep understanding of the Canadian real estate market and ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and stakeholder relationships.
