We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Assistant to join our team in Waterloo.

As a Commercial Insurance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Client Service Manager and Client Service Representative to ensure the Commercial team meets company objectives and provides exceptional service to clients, colleagues, and insurers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing certificates of insurance and automobile liability cards (pink slips)
  • Managing and updating monthly bordereau
  • Assisting with the preparation of renewal presentations and new business proposals
  • Preparing client manuals
  • Following up on policies and endorsements
  • Preparing and updating Excel spreadsheets
  • Preparing cover notes, invoices, and letters for clients
  • Pulling MVRs
  • Completing Word Sensa policy comparison
  • Requesting loss experience from insurers

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of work experience in Commercial Insurance
  • College or university diploma is required
  • RIBO licensed
  • Customer focused and sales oriented
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
