Master Flo Valve Inc. is a leading manufacturer of flow management solutions, currently seeking a skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

As a Quality Control Inspector with Master Flo Valve Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met for our products.

Salary

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections of incoming parts to ensure compliance with relevant purchasing, engineering, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of welding components, recording all relevant information as required.
  • Review material test reports (MTRs), non-destructive examinations (NDE), coating, heat treatment, and other documentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Identify, record, and process non-conformances according to established procedures.
  • Perform hardness testing as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Senior level candidates will also be responsible for inspecting R&D parts, calibration, maintenance, and tracking of inspection equipment, as well as possessing problem-solving skills and strong math skills, trigonometry, and special measurement calculation abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a post-secondary Engineering Technical qualification (Technical College/University) is an asset.
  • Senior level candidates require 5-10 years of machine shop inspection and/or quality control inspection experience, with Engineering Technology education.
  • Jr. to Intermediate Level: less than 5 years of machine shop inspection and/or quality control inspection experience.
  • Working knowledge of technical drawing/blueprint reading is required.
  • Good understanding of applicable internal procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP operating system is an asset.
  • Oil and Gas equipment manufacturing experience is also an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to maintain deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proven commitment to workplace health and safety.
