Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Bridgeway Connection Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced professional to provide support and guidance to children and youth in our community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality services that promote the well-being and development of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress and needs
  • Provide administrative and office support to ensure the smooth operation of our services
  • Assess client needs and eligibility for specific services, and develop plans to meet those needs
  • Implement life skills workshops and programs to promote client development and well-being
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, and ensure their safety
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, and provide support and guidance as needed
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff, and provide guidance and training as required
Requirements:
  • Mental health first aid certification
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification
  • Cultural Awareness Training
  • Medication Administration certification
  • First Aid certification
  • CPR certification
  • Criminal record check
  • Child welfare check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Valid driver's licence
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
