Are you an accomplished tax professional seeking a challenging and rewarding role? Do you have expertise in income tax and a passion for staying up-to-date on legislative changes?

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Tax Manager to join our team. As a key member of our high-impact team, you will play a critical role in preparing quarterly income tax provisions, handling withholding tax remittances, and drafting annual corporate tax returns.

About the Role:

  • Prepare quarterly income tax provisions for the organization and its associated entities.
  • Handle the preparation and audit of withholding tax remittances.
  • Draft and file annual corporate tax returns for the organization and its affiliated entities in Canada.
  • Communicate with the CRA and Revenue Quebec regarding income tax audits.
  • Support the head office with audits by preparing necessary workbooks and tax-related notes for financial statements.
  • Prepare T4A-NR, RL-1, and NR4 tax slips.
  • Calculate and submit monthly income tax installments for all entities.
  • Reconcile all income tax accounts for the organization and affiliated entities.
  • Collect information on special transactions and provide recommendations for sales tax compliance.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes regarding income, sales, and excise taxes and inform the team about their business impact.
  • Conduct or oversee internal audit compliance reviews.
  • Update training materials for internal use and share them on the intranet.
  • Address income tax-related inquiries from warehouses, accounting, purchasing teams, and vendors.
  • Undertake additional tasks or projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • University degree in an accounting-related field.
  • Accounting professional designation (CPA) is required.
  • A minimum of five years of tax experience is required.
  • Bilingualism, written and spoken (French/English), is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of business software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Database Management) is required.
  • Candidates may be tested.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Vertex is an asset.
