Farm Operations Lead

About the Role

The Farm Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the farm, ensuring the health and well-being of the chicken flock, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate farm operations, including egg collection, cleaning, and quality inspection
  • Supervise and train farm employees, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including CHEQ/Biosecurity procedures
  • Collaborate with the Farm Manager to develop and implement farm strategies and initiatives
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping

Requirements

  • Proven experience in farm operations or a related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve issues
  • Willingness to work statutory holidays and weekends as needed
