Job Title: Financial Analysis Manager

Andrea Prunty Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analysis Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning process and team, with a focus on maintaining up-to-date pro forma financial models for proposed and ongoing development projects across Canada and US markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure they align with approved budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment, promoting continuous improvement in financial analysis processes.
  • Review financial modeling in Excel to support asset acquisitions and divestitures, as well as leasing transactions;
  • Review and compare the relative quality of various development opportunities; including: reviewing and presenting Pro Forma Development Models to senior management and investment partners;
  • Reviewing and presenting confidential information memorandum documentation;
  • Stay informed of industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's real estate investments.
  • Overseeing the credit review process for prospective tenants to ensure creditworthiness and risk mitigation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and management, with a strong focus on real estate development.
  • Direct management of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA/CA or CFA designation preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, project evaluation, and investment analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of all other Microsoft Office Applications;
  • Experience with robust financial modelling within Excel and previous use of VBA programming language would be considered an asset;
  • Indepth knowledge of real estate markets, development processes, and financial processes;
  • Keen sense of attention to detail with the ability to learn tasks quickly;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines, manage conflicting priorities and deliver under pressure;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
