Job Summary

The Packaging Project Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of packaging development for packaging projects, including New Innovation, Redesign, Line Extensions, and Maintenance. This role requires strong technical and category knowledge, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project scope and timelines to meet project goals and priorities.
  • Facilitate creative development with brand design agencies for packaging design projects.
  • Monitor production art development and resolve art file or printing issues with suppliers.
  • Lead design extensions and adaptations across multiple structures and substrates.
  • Communicate and manage print process with printers and design agencies.
  • Develop and manage project priorities, timelines, and status with internal and external partners.
  • Resolve or assist in the resolution of issues within and between projects or teams.
  • Ensure compliance to processes and establish discipline to standardized ways of working.
  • Manage the approval process between internal and external partners.
  • Collect packaging project inputs and partner with stakeholders to secure and validate necessary inputs.
  • Provide technical consultation to Product Teams to ensure efficient and effective packaging production.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of employees to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Graphic Arts, Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
  • 6+ years previous project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Physical Aspects/Work Environment

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk, hear, and see.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
