About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Parsons Oman. As a key member of our Water Business Sector, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our linear and multi-discipline profile in Municipal Water/Wastewater/Stormwater Management infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on a diverse range of water and wastewater linear infrastructure projects, including collection, distribution, and transmission systems.
  • Execute design engineering consulting services related to linear environmental infrastructure under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Support the lead designer in the detailed design of linear projects and coordinate with the wider team and other disciplines.
  • Demonstrate high productivity, time management, and strong attention to detail in writing, reviewing, and updating tender documents, contract specifications, and drawings.
  • Support the development of project plans, anticipate, and address project issues, and direct the timely completion of technical deliverables.
  • Communicate and interact with the project team, clients, permitting agencies, and others to achieve project success and build lasting partnerships.
  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills, representing the project's interest throughout the project life cycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • At least 4+ years of related linear water and wastewater infrastructure experience in municipal design and construction, preferably in a consulting engineering environment on municipal client projects.
  • Proficient and experienced using integrated 3D environment software, such as Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM.
  • Familiarity or proficiency with water distribution, sanitary, and storm sewer system modeling and software.
  • Contract administration experience, including site reviews, reviewing shop drawings, contractor submittal review, change orders, and responding to requests for information as needed.
  • Knowledge and understanding of municipal linear water, sanitary, and storm infrastructure design standards and guidelines, and construction best practices.
  • Ability to produce quality work products and provide excellent client service.
  • Understanding of Provincial, Regional, and Local Agency approval and permitting requirements and how to meet them.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
