Field Claims Representative, Property

At Intact Financial Corporation, we're looking for a skilled Field Claims Representative to join our property team. As a Field Claims Representative, you will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing information gathered, insurance wording, and damages to determine what is covered in each situation. You will also negotiate with clients, claimants, attorneys, and insurers to settle claims within your authority.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating and analyzing information gathered, insurance wording, and damages to determine what is covered in each situation.
- Negotiating with clients, claimants, attorneys, and insurers to settle claims within your authority.
- Managing field assignments on behalf of internal adjusters.
- Collaborating effectively with various teams, including appraisal, underwriting, and legal.
- Ensuring effective cost management.
Requirements include:
- Holding an Adjuster permit (5A).
- University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
- At least three years of experience as an adjuster, preferably on the road.
- Having a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Xactanalysis and Xactimate experience is an asset.
- Being able to travel on short notice.
- Knowledge of insurance products.
Salary for the successful candidate will typically be positioned between $51,400 and $77,000, considering factors such as prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to the role, location, and internal equity.
This role is eligible for an employee referral bonus.
