About the Role
We're seeking a skilled and experienced Field Claims Representative to join our property team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze information gathered, insurance wording, and damages to determine coverage in each situation.
- Consult with experts to assess potential liability of insured and third parties.
- Negotiate with clients, claimants, attorneys, and insurers to settle claims within authority.
- Manage field assignments on behalf of internal adjusters.
- Participate in claims and work management when volume is high.
- Collaborate with various teams, including appraisal, underwriting, and legal.
- Ensure effective cost management.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in insurance products, appraisal, and investigation techniques.
Requirements
- Hold an Adjuster permit (5A).
- University degree or relevant combination of training and experience.
- At least three years of experience as an adjuster, preferably on the road.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Xactanalysis and Xactimate experience is an asset.
- Ability to travel on short notice.
- Knowledge of insurance products.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
