At BrightPath Kids Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Certified Kindergarten Teacher to join our team as a substitute teacher in our kindergarten program.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality education and care to our students while gaining valuable experience as a substitute teacher.

As a substitute teacher, you will be assigned to our kindergarten program, where you will work closely with our education assistants, therapists, and regular classroom teachers to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and caring environment that fosters inclusion and a love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom education assistants, therapists, and the regular classroom teacher.
  • Follow pre-planned lessons, delivering the Kindergarten Alberta Education curriculum and adapting lessons in the moment to meet the diverse needs of each child.
  • Provide follow-up notes to the regular classroom teacher that reflect child progress.
  • Provide effective classroom management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Education degree with either an interim or permanent teaching certificate from Alberta Education.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a driver's license.
  • Current Standard First Aid and Child CPR.
