Specialized Preschool/Kindergarten Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialized Preschool/Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and leading activities for young children, with ongoing support from the Special Education Consultant/Lead Teacher.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and lead activities for young children, with a focus on early childhood education and development.
- Work collaboratively with the Special Education Consultant/Lead Teacher to provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Develop and implement Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters inclusivity and respect for diversity.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and cohesive approach to education.
- Bachelor's degree in education with an Interim or Permanent Professional Certificate issued by Alberta Education.
- Specialization in Early Childhood Education or Special Education, or specific experience working with children with special needs, especially autism.
- Experience teaching children individually, and in small and large groups as part of a cooperative, collaborative preschool/Kindergarten classroom.
- Knowledge of and experience with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Discrete Trial Teaching is an asset.
- Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
