We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Department Supervisor to join our team at T&T Supermarket Inc.
Job Summary:The Department Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supermarket department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising sales workers, hiring and training staff, establishing work schedules, and preparing reports on sales volumes and personnel matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Establish work schedules to ensure that the department is adequately staffed at all times.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help inform business decisions.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that stock levels are adequate and that products are rotated regularly.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Organise day-to-day business operations to ensure that the department is running smoothly.
- Conduct quality control to ensure that products are of high quality and that customer service standards are met.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
