About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiological Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. About You
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working independently and under minimal supervision
  • Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
  • Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills; and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams
  • Comprehension of the technical language in order to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Short assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 6 months
  • Shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Stand by coverage may be required
Compensation and Incentives

$37.54 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
