About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Stringed Instrument Repairer to join our team at Wilder & Davis étude. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of instrument repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Diagnose Instruments: Carefully examine stringed instruments to identify areas requiring repair or maintenance.
  • Repair and Maintain Instruments: Utilize hand, power, or specialized tools to repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components.
  • Test and Calibrate Instruments: Thoroughly test and adjust repaired instruments to ensure proper functioning and optimal sound quality.
  • Work with Various Instruments: Repair and maintain violas, violins, cellos, and other stringed musical instruments.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Possess a strong background in instrument repair, preferably with a certificate or diploma in a related field.
  • Manual Dexterity and Attention to Detail: Demonstrate exceptional manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Possess efficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.
