Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at A Child's World Family Child Care Services of Niagara.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work under the supervision of our experienced early childhood educators to provide high-quality care and education to children in our care. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of child-care programs, engaging children in activities, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Assist with record-keeping and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Criminal record check and immunization records.
  • Own transportation or access to public transportation.
Working Conditions:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The successful candidate must be physically demanding and able to multitask.
