Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at A Child's World Family Child Care Services of Niagara. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our childcare centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement child-care programs that meet the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
Requirements:
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
