Swine Technician/Animal Care Technician Job Opportunity

Bear Hills Sow, located 20 minutes from Biggar, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Animal Care Technician to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all areas of production, including feeding and general care of pigs
  • Maintain herd health and environment for pigs
  • Pressure wash and prepare rooms
  • Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and clerical duties
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong willingness to learn and ability to work independently
  • Positive work ethic and attitude, with attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to lift 25kg
  • Valid driver's license and ability to get to and from work in a rural area
  • Weekend, holiday hours, and alarm attending on a rotational basis
  • Experience in hog production is considered an asset
Estimated Salary Range:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year
