Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Primary Care Nurse Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical assessment and treatment strategies that reflect in-depth knowledge of the care populations;">
  • Building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities through community needs assessments and inter-professional collaboration;">
  • Supporting continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects;">
  • Developing and delivering formal education programs;">
  • Working independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.">

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • ">
  • A Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree;">
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license;">
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS);">
  • Advanced facilitation, organizational, research, communication, decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving skills;">
  • Knowledge in diverse cultures, values, and traditions; and">
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.">
