Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transit Driver to join our team in Orillia and Midland. As a Transit Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers while maintaining the appearance of the interior of the bus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a transit vehicle in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner throughout the contracted service area.
  • Maintain a strong attendance record and perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections as required.
  • Assist passengers with wheelchairs or other mobility aids and secure them properly.
  • Notify dispatch of any deviations, accidents, or mechanical issues.
  • Complete and submit written reports concerning passengers and accidents.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Class BZ or CZ driving license, clear driver abstract, and background check.
  • First Aid certification and transit experience an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in schedule.
  • Subject to wet, cold, and/or hot environmental conditions.
  • Subject to vehicle noise and vibration while operating transit vehicle.
