What does a Pre-Board Screening Officer do?

  • Screen the travelling public and their belongings.
  • Ensure non-permitted items do not enter the secure area.
  • Control access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to alarms and report any events, illegal acts or violations.
  • Participate in emergency operations within the airport.

Qualifications to become a Pre-Board Screening Officer?

  • You must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident.
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • You must have a clean criminal record and be eligible to obtain a RAIC (security clearance).
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You must have English verbal and written skills.
  • You must be located near Kuujjuaq or willing to relocate before starting.
