Job Summary

Bethesda Game Studios is seeking a highly skilled Game Development Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our backend development team, you will be responsible for implementing, testing, and maintaining high-performance game systems in Go.

About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative games. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend features with clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and test scalable backend game systems using Go.
  • Develop secure RESTful APIs and client SDKs to support integrations.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adhere to standards.
  • Leverage experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD tools to streamline development workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience building web APIs in Go.
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments.
  • Experience working with either AWS or Azure.
  • Understanding of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD tools.
  • Proficiency in modeling data in NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Distributed systems at scale.
  • C++ programming experience.
  • Typescript, React, and Redux expertise.
  • Observability tools for monitoring, logging, and tracing distributed systems.
Salary and Benefits
