Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pulsed Power Engineer to join our team at General Fusion. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high voltage / high current pulsed power components and systems to support fusion research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and development of high voltage / high current pulsed power components and systems
  • Construction and testing of design prototypes
  • Deployment of pulsed power systems, including coordination with internal and external groups
  • Designing for challenging environments (high temperature, high vacuum, EMI, reactive metal, high shock/vibration)
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience with the design of high current, high voltage systems
  • Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly advancing and evolving work environment
  • Strong documentation and organization skills and experience with tools such as: MS Office, Sharepoint, PDM, Github, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with other team members
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical design and assembly skills (SolidWorks, machine shop hands-on, 3D printing)
  • Experience designing for high vacuum environments
  • Experience with design and implementation of electronics in a high EMI environment
  • Hands-on high voltage testing and safety
  • Experience with Python, Assembly, C/C++ or other relevant programming languages

Expected Salary Range

$90,000 - $100,000
