About the Role

Crop Intelligence is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Business Agronomist to join our team in the South Saskatchewan region. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our vendors, customers, and insight collaborators to grow the awareness of our Crop Intelligence insights, subscriptions, and hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building strong relationships with vendors, customers, and insight collaborators to grow awareness of Crop Intelligence insights, subscriptions, and hardware.
  • Collaboratively setting and assisting in the execution of sales goals with vendors to help grow volume of our hardware and subscription offerings.
  • Managing leads from referral partners, tradeshows, and online referrals through the sales cycle.
  • Being the key contact for sales programming offered by Crop Intelligence.
  • Training and engaging vendors, customers, and collaborators on the insights delivered by our product to help end customers capture their full Water Driven Yield Potential.
  • Bringing forward feedback on new insights and hardware products to be developed to meet customer needs.
  • Supporting the product in the field to ensure high-quality data collection to drive accurate insights.
Requirements
  • Understanding that business is a team sport and being energized by working in a team environment, looking for wins for both sides in all interactions.
  • Possessing a passion for agronomy, always looking for new insights by connecting the data generated from our hardware to solve real-world problems.
  • Having a strong drive to build long-term relationships and increase the experience for both vendors and customers.
  • Being energized by speaking in front of groups and engaging the audience to participate.
  • Having past experience of three or more years working directly with decision-makers on the farm or decision-makers at farm retailers or dealers.
  • Having a high drive to succeed inside a flexible schedule - this is not an 8-5 job - based remotely in your territory.
  • Enjoying the road and traveling to meet with customers, vendors, and collaborators 80% of your time, with the majority being day trips.
  • Having created a strong system to organize yourself to handle multiple priorities throughout the day.
