Math and Science Tutoring Opportunity

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced part-time math and science tutor to join our team at York Mills location.

We are committed to providing high-quality education services to students of all ages and abilities. Our tutors play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals and develop a love for learning.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons to students in grades 11-12, focusing on advanced functions, calculus, data management, physics, and chemistry.

To succeed in this position, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work effectively with multiple students simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions to students in grades 11-12
  • Utilize Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies to ensure student success
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and teachers
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, physics, chemistry)
  • Experience teaching or tutoring math and science subjects at a grade 11-12 level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work after-school and evening hours, including Saturdays
