Job Title: Part-Time Senior Math Educator Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Senior Math Educator to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. as a Part-Time Tutor. As a Mathematics Educator, you will work directly with students to help them develop their math skills and build their confidence. About the Role:

This is a Part-Time position, requiring a commitment of after-school and evening hours (3:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as some Saturdays (9:00am - 1:00pm). As a Tutor, you will work with students of varying skill levels, providing personalized instruction and support. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating with parents/guardians as needed.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field (Math, Science, Education)
  • University students with a foundational knowledge base and extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
